Made here, from here.

No two Lindells share the exact same blueprint.

To us, no two captains are the same. No home waters are the same. No anglers are the same. As builders of long-range adventure fishing vessels, that’s our starting point. Before we rally our designers, engineers, and craftsmen around a computer screen, we first ask what experience the owner seeks. Then we build the best boat to suit it. An owner specs and builds a Lindell because they’ve worked too hard to merely settle for an experience someone else could buy.

Personalized long-range adventure vessels.

When we design a new model, we start with the experience. How far do we want to go, geographically and metaphorically? Across the Gulf of Alaska or the Gulf of Mexico? How much fuel and crew would that take? How much room do they take up, along with the provisions to get there and fish pack coming back again? What other systems and considerations are necessary for such an expedition to be both successful and comfortable?

That’s when pencil hits paper. With rote specs in hand, we next ask how to make it beautiful as well as functional. A line is drawn, then another. An upswept deadrise intersects a bow deck onward to the forward-raked pilothouse. How can we create the clearest view out of that window–to see stunning vistas as well as deadheads? How do we make the lifting strakes look like they part the seas as well as actually doing it?

Space comes at the highest premium in boats that can cross oceans as well as negotiate kelp forests. We do not build megayachts and we do not build skiffs. Any expansion of the bow berth comes at the expense of space in the head. Height in there affects the helm. We must draw and erase, draw and erase until that perfect medium is met. No detail is too small for consideration, from the internal organization of the galley drawers, the position of the sink in relation to the coffee maker, right down to where you want your cell phone to sit at the helm. Our model designs are the creative and professional expression of our team’s collective centuries of boatwright knowledge. Perfect is the only outcome we accept.

Advanced capabilities. Innovative technology. Absolute focus on safety.

When we enter an agreement with a new owner, that design process goes deeper. This collaboration extends to our engineers and craftsmen who work with our designers to take big ideas on paper and make them real. Would you like a queen berth in the bow or a classic forecastle bunkhouse to house more crew? A galley reminiscent of home, to cook over propane, electric, or invection? On deck, how about a full fish processing station, complete with filet table, sink, vacuum sealer, ice maker, and freezer? Done. A flybridge with a dinghy cradle? We’ll get creative. Hit us with your wildest idea, the dream of your dream boat. Our team craves a problem to solve.

This requires an approach to manufacturing that’s as flexible as it is inventive. Engineers hammer out every workaround necessary to bring that sketch to life rather than adhering to rigid constraints. Every fiber of glass and wood is handset, sanded, and polished by experienced hands to ensure the build is deceptively strong. By weaving together our thinking, design ethos, advanced technology and experienced boat-building hands, we create a design that fulfills more than the ambitions at sea and aesthetic visions. Our designs also prioritize ease-of-use and user safety in real-world adventures. Every system is rigorously tested by the president on down before we’re comfortable handing over the keys. The best way to build a one-of-a-kind, long-range adventure vessel? Inch-by-inch. Just. Like. This.
