Meet Lindell 38
"The Lindell 38 balances speed, efficiency, and capability in a compact, agile package."
The Lindell 38’ is compact and highly maneuverable, and is a platform for the serious angler or cruiser to step into a liveaboard pilothouse yacht. The 38’ is designed with balance in mind, to deliver true Lindell performance, liveaboard comfort, and hardcore fishability in the most nimble size possible. This is the perfect boat for families and serious anglers who want to fish hard and rest easy while navigating narrow marinas and big sea swells alike.
It All Starts With the Hull
Like every Lindell, the 38' is built with our vacuum-infused vinylester resin over a proprietary sandwich core. This creates exceptional strength and impact tolerance with far less weight than traditional hulls, allowing the Lindell 38’ to have a top speed over 50 miles per hour and a lighter, more fuel-efficient vessel that delivers superior longevity and the classic Pacific Northwest pilothouse look you expect from Lindell.
Power, Fuel, and Efficiency
The Lindell 38’ is offered in outboard configuration for maximum storage below deck and shallow draft. The standard power option is triple 300hp Yamaha outboards, with options for twin or triple Mercury Verado or Yamaha XTO Offshore outboards (up to triple 400’s or equivalent). With options of 500 or 700 gallons of fuel capacity, this lightweight hull delivers impressive range: approximately 500 miles on a single tank at efficient cruising speeds, while still achieving an incredible top speed of 50+ mph and a comfortable cruise around 35 mph. That top speed with liveaboard capabilities is a special combination, allowing the 38 to be a great cruiser in local waters while also giving the capability for longer coastal fishing trips.
Compact Comfort
Despite its agile size, the Lindell 38’ is built for real liveaboard and family use. It features two cabins, with options for an internal layout of two queen-size beds fore and aft, or a bunkhouse-style forward berth with two single beds in the aft berth, and a convertible dinette table in the salon that drops down to sleep up to six total people in the Lindell 38’. The full galley, spacious head and shower, and thoughtful storage throughout make extended trips comfortable for the whole crew.
Fishability
The 38' punches well above its weight when the bite turns on. Its 8’ 11” cockpit (excluding swimstep and baitwell) is plenty roomy for a large crew to all fish, and its in-deck storage and fish holds, livewells, and wraparound rails that let you fish off the bow give you maximum versatility. The optional aft deck helm station allows for full and easy control of the vessel while fishing. The hardtop can support a dinghy and crane, and the boat is inline with the rest of our Lindell models for storage and function. With its speed and efficiency, you’ll spend less time in transit and more time with lines in the water.
Systems and Control
We engineer every Lindell for easy maintenance and rugged reliability. Digital switching, gyro stabilization, accessible electronics panels, a sea chest for raw water, and clearly labeled systems make ownership straightforward. The outboard setup provides even more room below for desalinator, generators, and storage while keeping the bilge clean and serviceable.
Luxury
Step inside the signature forward-rake pilothouse and you’ll find the same high-end fit and finish that defines every Lindell: custom woodwork by our in-house carpenters, bespoke upholstery, abundant natural light from large windows, warm accent lighting, and separate heating and air conditioning zones. The quiet, dry ride and cozy atmosphere make the 38' feel like a much larger yacht, perfect for relaxing after a long day on the water.
Below deck you will find two berths that can fit a queen bed, and a head and shower that give much needed respite on your adventure. The same beautiful carpentry, accent lighting, and comforts found in the pilothouse seamlessly follow below deck. Depending on your configuration, the Lindell 38’ can comfortably sleep six people.
Fish hard, rest easy. The Lindell 38’ proves that smaller agile vessels can still be a seriously capable liveaboard.
